About the event:
UN Youth is looking for committed tertiary students to take on a key role in organising one of Wellington’s main events for secondary school students in 2020. This has previously been organised as WMPARL, however, in 2020 the Regional Council is looking to host an event with a different format, focused on domestic civics.
The exact format will be decided by the Committee, in conjunction with the Council and we welcome creative ideas in applications.
Volunteers will learn important organisational skills through this committee, including working within budgets, managing relationships with external parties and creating educational content and strategies. These skills transfer well both in terms of further volunteer work and professional development.
Coordinator, Communications Officer, Logistics Officer, Educational Officer, Relations Officer.
More information about each individual role and the application process can be found here.
Note: These are potential positions, that will be appointed at the discretion of the Regional Council, based on applications
Report to: Wellington Regional President
Length of Tenure: November 2019 – March 2020
Please note that these are unpaid roles as UN Youth is a charity organisation. The UN Youth Wellington Regional Council reserves the right to reopen applications and to appoint positions that may vary from those mentioned above, as well as to refrain from appointing one or more of these roles. You are welcome to apply to be part of the organising committee for our second high schools’ event.
Applications close on Friday, 8th of November 2019 at 7 pm.
