Wellington Outreach Programme 2020 Organising Committee

Location: Wellington

Closing Date: 2020-06-15 20:00:00

About the event:

Un Youth is looking for five enthusiastic and adaptable tertiary students to coordinate 2020’s outreach events! Be part of a special event committee and gain valuable coordinator experience.

Outreach MUNs take UN Youth to the nooks and corners of the Wellington region, beyond central Wellington, to allow our long distance delegates to have an event near them. Moreover, Outreach is a fantastic opportunity for the organisation to reach out to new students who otherwise would not have had the chance to participate and engage with all that we have to offer!

Each committee member will be responsible for their own event which they will be able to shape from start to finish, while also working alongside four other coordinators. Volunteers will learn key skills like developing educational content, managing relationships, and general organisation. You are guaranteed professional development in a fun, dynamic environment surrounded by like-minded volunteers who could be your new best friend!

We have decided to open applications for the 2020 Outreach Committee despite the current level 2 status. We have done this in anticipation of being able to run all of our outreach events in the second half of the year, and to ensure that the committee has the time they need to put together a great event without the additional stress of being on a tight timeline.

Therefore it is important to note that there is a possibility that the events may not be able to run due to the volatile nature of the pandemic.  Furthermore, it  is also possible that given the current circumstances, additional measures will have to be taken in the running of our events, which as a committee you will have to accommodate for. Please carefully consider these disclaimers before applying and make an informed decision.

Wairarapa MUN, Taranaki MUN, Gisborne MUN, Hawke’s Bay MUN Junior and Hawke’s Bay MUN Senior.

Note that these are unpaid roles. The UN Youth Wellington Regional Council reserves the right to reopen applications, and to appoint positions that may vary from those mentioned above, as well as to refrain from appointing one or more of these roles.
