Overview

WHAT IS A HIGH SCHOOL AMBASSADOR?

High School Ambassadors (HSAs) are representatives of UN Youth. As an HSA, your role will be to promote UN Youth events in your school, run educational workshops, and work alongside UN Youth volunteers to run in-school Model UN events. You will be an important connection between the Wellington Regional Council and high school students.

WHY SHOULD I APPLY?

The HSA programme is a fantastic opportunity to meet passionate, like-minded people, and to further UN Youth’s goal of empowering global citizens. Your work as an HSA will give you valuable leadership, critical thinking and event management skills.

We have made some exciting changes to the HSA programme this year and would love your help to implement these and help shape the culture of the HSA programme.

No prior involvement with UN Youth is necessary and we will provide you with training before you start.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Ambassadors are expected to abide by a code of conduct which outlines our behavioural and
professional expectations to safeguard our brand and reputation.

The code of conduct can be found here. Please read the code with your parent/guardian to complete your application.

HSA applications close at 11:59 pm, 19th of May . If you have any questions please feel free to contact the HSA programme manager, Lara Cable, at lara.cable@unyouth.org.nz.
