Overview

Central North Island Model United Nations (CNIMUN) 2019 is an annual event held by UN Youth in Palmerston North, and is one of the biggest outreach events within the wider Wellington region, and the only one run with a full committee.

We are currently looking for applications for a Coordinator, Logistics Officer and Communications Officer for this event, and also for an Education Officer should we have a suitable applicant. Being part of this committee promises professional development for all successful candidates, as well as the opportunity to travel to Palmerston North for the event should the candidate be from outside the city.

All applicants must be university students, or under the age of 25, but the specific requirements for the roles are as follows:

Coordinator: The Coordinator will be responsible for the overall organisation of the event, overseeing all the other committee members’ portfolios. Organisational experience and an understanding of UN Youth is desirable.

Logistics Officer: The Logistics Officer will be responsible for the logistics of the event such as the venue and catering. Organisational experience and local contacts in Palmerston North are desirable.

Communications Officer: The Communications Officer will be responsible for the promotions and registrations of the event. Organisational experience and local contacts in Palmerston North are desirable.

Education Officer: The Education Officer will be responsible for writing the educational content for the event. This position does not have to be filled and will only be filled should we have a suitable and enthusiastic candidate.

Applications for these roles close Monday, 13th of May, 11:59 pm.

The Regional Council reserves the right to reopen applications at its sole discretion.
