NAKIMUN (Taranaki)

Naki Model United Nations conference 2020 is the first of its kind! This is an exciting new opportunity for students in the Taranaki region to experience the world of diplomacy, international relations and problem solving.

Held over one day, on the 26th of September at Stratford High School, students will have the opportunity to represent a UN nation state in a simulated general assembly and discuss the important issue of environmental sustainability. Compromises must be negotiated to ensure the best possible outcome for your nation state. This is a great opportunity to hone your debating and problem solving skills, while employing teamwork strategies and learning new things about the world around us.

Students will meet other like minded young people from around their region and leave with a better sense of their place in the world as a global citizen. Develop a greater understanding of topical issues affecting the world today while growing your skills, forming connections and most of all having fun!
