Overview

Raise Your Voice is a new and exciting event for the UN Youth Auckland Region! It is an incredible opportunity, the first of its kind, for high school students to learn more about, and engage with, civics education.

Held on the 21st September 2019 we are proud to announce it will be held at the AUT South Campus. As a one-day conference, you will have the opportunity to interact with like-minded peers while exploring the different facets of how and why decisions are made both locally and nationally.

Our theme is UN+Represented. Our goal is to give you the knowledge and tools to be able to think critically about civics and then have the skills to effectively share your ideas. Raise Your Voice will provide you with comprehensive workshops to foster the expansion of your horizons and development of diverse thought.

You do not need any past UN Youth experience, and as a new event, we encourage you to get involved with our stimulating content! Please note that applications close on the 7th of September.

EDIT: Applications have been extended to the 10th September!

This is a free event with food provided and free transport will also be available to the venue from the city! Details will be confirmed after registration. Don’t hesitate to apply now!

For general questions about the event, please contact our Registrations Officer, Tayla Fraser-Brown, at tayla.fraserbrown@unyouth.org.nz or our Coordinator, Ruth Stowers, at ruth.stowers@unyouth.org.nz.
