UN Youth invites high school students from years 9-13 to Central North Island Model United Nations 2019 (CNIMUN). This event wishes to bring together students from all areas of the Central North Island. This event will model UN General assembly. The day will be filled with riveting debates, challenging topics and more – it is an event not to be missed.

This year CNIMUN theme is UN+Resolved which will focus on the question of Foreign Intervention in Civil War. Delegates must consider how best to resolve these conflicts and create enduring peaceful solutions to civil wars. They will need to balance states’ political interests with the UN’s commitments to upholding peace, security, and human rights; and confront the important issue of state sovereignty.

The event will be on the 31st of August and will take place at Palmerston North Girls’ High School. This is an opportunity for those outside the Wellington City area to be a part of the UN Youth experience.
