Who can become a member?

Anyone who supports our goals, and is either:

– Aged between 13 and 25;
– A full-time tertiary student (of any age).

How do I sign up?

The best way to sign up is to create an account. With an account you can register for events and receive newsletters.

Accessibility

I use a wheelchair / crutches, is that going to be a problem?

UN Youth is committed to organising events for people of all abilities. Most of our events are hosted at a University where the buildings are designed with accessibility in mind. When we use a non-University venue, our organisers make arrangements ahead of time to ensure that the venue is accessible too.

If there’s anything specifically we can do to ensure you have a comfortable experience at one of our events, please let us know when you register. This information will be kept confidential within the event’s Welfare Team.

Events

How do I register for an event?

You can register for an event by creating an account and filling out the registration form.

Your place at the conference will be confirmed as soon as you have paid.

Some events have limited places, so your spot at the event might not be confirmed straight away – the event organisers will choose the event attendees based on their answers in the registration form. If you’re not chosen for an event, you won’t have to pay.

How do I withdraw from an event?

If you would like to withdraw from an event, or cancel your registration, that’s no problem. If you registered for the event through our website, then you can log into your account and visit the ‘My Account‘ page, there you’ll find a link to our cancellation form.

If you’ve already paid for the event, then you can request a refund in accordance with our terms and conditions.

If you registered through your school, you can still use this form, but you will need to contact your teacher too.

Money matters

I can’t/didn’t attend an event, can I get a refund?

Usually, yes, so long as you’ve let us know in time.

In order to get a refund, you need to have withdrawn from an event before the cancellation date, or have a good reason for why you couldn’t attend. For more information see our Terms and Conditions.
